Running Tiger Academy has a long history with the home school community in the Twin Cities, and we are pleased to continue to offer training to homeschooled youth. As with all our youth classes, there is no pressure, and no contracts. Students are free to train when it is most fitting for them. Over the years, we have offered private, group and ongoing martial arts and self-defense classes to homeschoolers and their families. Homeschooled youth not only train in homeschool-designated classes, but also in any of our regularly scheduled classes, depending on temperament, interest and schedule. If you would like to develop your own homeschooling martial arts class, please contact us about special rates and arrangements. Groups of 8, 10, or 12 students can make arrangements for a special class time and fee. Call Robyn or Dave at 651-247-6602 to discuss options and details. Homeschooling classes are typically taught by Sibok Meyer (Dave), Sibok Chacon (Joseph), or Sisuk Lingen (Robyn). Homeschool Specific Classes

The Running Tiger patch represents our school as well as our lineage. In 2003, Great Grandmaster Castro formally awarded David Meyer the dance, Running Tiger. The fist, characterized as mountains, is Great Grandmaster’s logo and also represents his dance, Mountain Meets River. The lightening bolt represents Great Great Grandmaster, William Kwai Sun “Thunderbolt” Chow and the eagle represents Sibok Joseph Chacon, Eagle Talon.

I was worried, very worried, about being able to do a martial art, but after only one class I knew I had found the right place. Running Tiger is a relaxed, warm and friendly environment where I could go at my own pace, and build slowly. I'm hooked, and loving it. - A.J., age 42 |
