Just as martial arts were utilized by the Shaolin Monks of ancient China as meditative exercises to improve both physical and mental health, the art plays a key role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress today.

In this groundbreaking course you will learn to utilize fundamental concepts and techniques of Shaolin Kenpo to reduce and prevent stress, improve overall health, and build new ways to maintain balance in your life.

Designed specifically for the minds and bodies of women, this course promises to eliminate the common barriers women experience with martial arts. Through these efficient, easy-to-learn movements, women gain a deep understanding of the life skills martial artists use to maintain balance and wellbeing.

In the workplace and at home, we experience not only our own stresses, but often take in the stress-related energy carried by those around us. Shaolin Kenpo techniques help prevent, reduce and transform stress, which is the foundation of full wellness, and the key to healthy expression in all areas of our lives.  The focus is on governing oneself to build a sense of personal power and energetic integrity.
Drawing from the core practice of Shaolin Kenpo, women gain a wholistic understanding of the physics of the art, developing foundation, speed, strength, and power – regardless of physical ability. Throughout this practice, women will learn to:

  • Locate, listen to, and harness the energy of the body through breath and movement.
  • Use the body to guide the mind to release its hold on anger, fear and stress.
  • Conquer internal and external conflict, meet resistance, and enjoy change through physical release.
