Meet Robyn Lingen Print E-mail

Robyn LingenRobyn has been practicing the art of Shaolin Kenpo since 2002 and holds the rank of Second Degree Black Belt. She is a primary instructor at the Running Tiger School of Shaolin Kenpo where she trains under Sibok David Meyer, 5th degree black belt. She is among the first three women in Minnesota to earn her black belt, and is the first woman to teach Shaoling Kenpo in Minnesota.

A talented teacher and speaker, Robyn not only teaches traditional Shaolin Kenpo, but is also trained to teach The Shaolin Way for self-defense, for fitness, and for stress release and anger management. Shaolin Kenpo offers an intensive, powerful way for individuals to release stress, anger and even trauma through positive, healthful body movement. Working in women's shelters, schools and in private settings, Robyn has helped individuals use Shaolin Kenpo to alter the internal outcomes associated with violence.

Robyn is the owner and creative director of Designwrite Studios where she serves a variety of businesses, non-profit groups and public entities in the areas of communications and customized training. She has served on the boards of several non-profit and educational groups and presents regularly in a variety of school, college, and business settings including: Boston Scientific, Cima Labs, St. Paul Public Schools, Hamline University, The College of St. Catherine, Emma Norton and Cornerstone women’s shelters.
